Our Embassy in Dakar
The British Embassy represents the UK and promotes UK interests in Senegal, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau and Mali. We are responsible for building and developing relations between the UK and these countries for, at all levels - and in a wide range of fields.
Political section
The Political Section is responsible for political relationsbetween the UK and the governments of Senegal, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau and Mali. We monitor the political situation in these four countries and seek to strengthen the bilateral relationship. We manage the Bilateral Fund that is used to fund in-country activities that support our objectives and we are responsible for public diplomacy and for the Chevening Scholarship and the Chevening Fellowship Programmes.
Management section
The Management Section is responsible for all human and financial resources and provides support to enable the Embassy to function.
Visa section
The visa section is responsible for providing visa and entry clearance services for those wanting to travel to the UK.
Consular section
The consular section provides consular assistance for British citizens. It also processes passport applications.

is the UK's leading international organisation for educational and cultural relations.
