The British Embassy Liaison Office (BELO) represents the UK and promotes UK interests in Bamako. It is responsible for building and developing relations between the UK and Mali, at all levels - and in a wide range of fields.

BELO liaises between the UK and the Government of Mali, delivering Notes Verbales and seeks to strengthen the bilateral relationship. It identifies projects, acts as an interface between the Bilateral Fund Officer and ensures the follow-up of the projects.

Furthermore BELO provides assistance on issues relating to visas for those wanting to travel to the UK and passports for British nationals.

Last but not least BELO provides consular assistance for British citizens when necessary.
