Applying for a UK passport in Senegal

Where to apply

 

If you live in Senegal, Mali, Guinea -Bissau and Cape Verde you should apply for passports at our Dakar or Banjul offices. Applications received in Dakar are sent to Banjul for processing.

Emergency and Temporary Passports are also issued at our Dakar office.

Passport services at our offices

At our Dakar office you can:

- collect passport application forms

- collect the LSO1 form to report your lost or stolen passport

- pay your passport fee in person only by cash

- submit your application form in person

What to submit

To apply for a UK passport in Dakar you must submit:

  • your completed application form
  • your 2 passport size photographs
  • your supporting documents
  • your previous passport
  • the correct fee in CFA francs
  • courier charges of CFA 40,000 if you wish your application to be processed and

returned under 15 days.

Processing your application

It takes 6 weeks to process your application from the date we receive it.

Our staff will not be able to process your application or there may be a delay issuing your passport if:

  • you have used the wrong form or completed it incorrectly
  • you have not provided the correct fee.
