Appeals
Where to send appeals
You may send appeals by post to:
Asylum and Immigration Tribunal (AIT)
PO Box 7866
Loughborough LE11 2 XZ
United Kingdom
Or
The Visa Section
British High Commission
48 Atlantic Road
Fajara
PO Box 507
Banjul
The Gambia
You must only send your appeal to one place. If you decide to send the papers to the Visa Section of the British High Commission in The Gambia, there will be a delay before they are sent to the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal (AIT), as post is only sent to the UK once each week. When the AIT receives your appeal form they will write to you to let you know the date and time of the hearing.
Where can I get independent advice?
You can contact the Immigration Advisory Service (IAS) for advice and help with an appeal. The IAS is a voluntary organisation independent of government, and can provide confidential advice for you and your representatives. The IAS can help you to decide whether or not to make an appeal. It can also represent you at an appeal hearing.
